Midaz has taken its unique micro-slab amplifier technology and created a range of diode-pumped solid-state (DPSS) amplifier modules offering customers a new breakthrough set of capabilities that were previously unavailable.

Midaz amplifiers at 1064nm combine:

• Highest gain DPSS amplifier modules (~10⁴)
• High average powers (modules up to >40W)
• High peak power capability for pulse amplification
• Maintenance of high spatial beam quality (TEM₀₀)
• Highly polarised output beam (>100:1)
• High extraction efficiency (>50%)
• Air-cooled & water-cooled versions available

Applications include:

• Amplification of CW, pulsed, modelocked, single longitudinal mode laser sources
• Amplification of Nd:YVO₄, Nd:YAG, diode and Yb fibre seed lasers
• Industrial laser manufacturing: e.g. micromachining; laser marking; solar
• Remote sensing
• Scientific applications e.g. replacement for regenerative amplifiers
